The class will function as a film crew to copy a scene from the movie Rushmore. Each student will be assigned a crew position and we will learn the basic roles, responsibilities and protocols on a professional movie set.
Choose a scene from a movie and copy it shot-for-shot. Mimic the scene’s location, camera angles, wardrobe, props, acting and other cinematic elements as closely as possible.
Filmmakers see movies differently. We will unravel cinema’s elemental concepts and begin to look at movies from the point of view of a director.
Welcome to our first edit lab. Bring your footage, hard drive and prepare to fire up Final Cut Pro X, an amazing tool that changed the traditional concept of editing.
Together we’ll step through basics techniques in Final Cut Pro X. By the end of class, you’ll be off and running on your edit.
